Agrabah Items

Cyrus' Talisman

Cyrus' Talisman first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. A necklace worn by Cyrus. After he finds love and proposes marriage to Alice, Cyrus shows her the necklace, which begins to glow a bright red, and explains their hearts are entwined so now both of them will know when the other is near. Later, he loses the talisman, but Alice finds it outside the Mad Hatter's house, which instills her belief that Cyrus is alive. Later, when trapped by a pack of Mome Raths, who are attracted to the glow of the necklace, Alice gives it up to them in order to flee. ("Down the Rabbit Hole", "Trust Me", "Nothing to Fear")

Jafar's Book of Spells

Jafar's Book of Spells first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found first appears in the eighth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. It is a compass owned by Cyrus that can point towards something or someone the wearer has lost and wants to find again. Cyrus gained the Lost and Found from his mother, Amara, when he wasn't yet a genie. During his years of solitude inside the bottle, the compass was the one thing that he sought comfort in as it always pointed him in his mother's direction. Alas, this stopped several years ago, and now the compass only spins its needle in a continuous circle. Later, Cyrus trades the Lost and Found to the Caterpillar so he and Alice can "disappear". The Caterpillar accepts his form of payment and creates an invisible hideout in the Outlands for them. Discovering his mother is still alive, due to the magic water he once took to save her life, Cyrus steals back the compass in order to track her down. They find Amara in the form of Jafar's serpent staff, and she forcibly ejects herself from her master's control when he attempts to use her magic to hurt Cyrus. ("Home", "Heart of the Matter")

Serpent Staff

The Serpent Staff first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. In his quest for revenge, Jafar casts a spell on his dark magic instructor, Amara, which transforms her into a snake and then into a serpent staff. He, therefore, gains all the power of his master. Nonetheless, the staff fails him when he attempts to use Amara's powers to hurt her son, Cyrus. Rebelling against Jafar, Amara ejects herself, while still in staff form, from his control into Cyrus' grasp. ("Down the Rabbit Hole", "The Serpent", "Heart of the Matter")

Three Wishes

The Three Wishes first appear in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Alice, having opened Cyrus' genie bottle in Wonderland, is given the chance to make three wishes. However, Cyrus warns of the laws of magic that prevent him from granting certain wishes; resurrecting the dead, killing another person, changing the past or inducing love. Instead of making the wishes, Alice and Cyrus fall in love and decide they would rather be together. Since the wishes aren't used, she stores them in her shoe heel for safekeeping. After returning to Wonderland, Alice promises Knave a wish if he helps her find Cyrus. Knave agrees, and later tries to steal all three wishes, but backtracks. Jafar tricks Alice into making a wish when he attempts to murder Knave. However, she outsmarts him by wishing for her own death if Knave dies. The second wish is used to send her father, Edwin, home, after Jafar tries to kill him. When Knave is struck by Jafar's storm cloud, he ends up on the verge of death as Alice, too, begins succumbing as a consequence of her first wish. To save her life, Knave uses the final wish to take away Alice's suffering. Since her pain is physical due to dying and emotional due to being separated from Cyrus, both are alleviated. As a consequence of freeing Cyrus from his servitude as genie, Knave takes his place in the bottle. ("Down the Rabbit Hole", "Trust Me", "Home")

Camelot Items

Excalibur

Main article: Excalibur

Excalibur is first mentioned in the second episode of the third season of Once Upon a Time. A mythical blade originating from Camelot and made by Merlin. As legend has it, whoever can free the embedded sword from a stone is the true ruler of the kingdom. In order to inspire courage in Snow White, Prince Charming forges a fake Excalibur and encourages her to pull it out to prove herself as the kingdom's ruler instead of the Evil Queen. When met with success, Snow White attacks the Queen with the sword and asserts the throne is hers, which she won't give up on without a fight. Shortly after, Rumplestiltskin reveals to Snow White that the weapon is fake. Angry, she confronts Prince Charming, who admits doing so to draw out the courage inside her. ("Lost Girl")

Magic Gauntlet

The Magic Gauntlet first appears in the eleventh episode of the fourth season of Once Upon a Time. After a trip to Camelot, Rumplestiltskin gains the gauntlet, a powerful item capable of locating a person's greatest weakness. Desiring to defeat their enemies with the gauntlet, Cruella De Vil, Maleficent and Ursula kidnap Rumplestiltskin's maid, Belle, and use her as ransom for what they want. With Belle's life at risk, Rumplestiltskin gives into their demands, but he later confronts the trio only to steal back the gauntlet for himself. After the second curse, the gauntlet ends up in Mr. Gold's pawnshop, where Belle's suspicions are heightened when she discovers it. Going by a hunch, she uses the gauntlet to uncover Mr. Gold's greatest weakness, the dagger. ("Heroes and Villains")

Enchanted Forest Items

Baelfire's Shawl

Baelfire's Shawl first appears in the eleventh episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. A shawl once owned and worn by Rumplestiltskin's son, Baelfire. As Mr. Gold, he concocts and tests a potion for crossing Storybrooke's town line without losing one's memories. He decides he will use the potion on the shawl to leave town and find his son. However, the shawl is stolen from his pawnshop by Hook's accomplice, William Smee, and hidden aboard Hook's ship. While Mr. Gold hunts down Smee, Belle discovers an invisible passage onto the ship. Though she finds the shawl, Hook stands in her way of leaving. Mr. Gold shows up and after a brief confrontation, he and Belle leave the ship with the shawl. Eventually, Mr. Gold successfully uses the potion on the shawl to cross the town border. ("The Outsider")

Blue Fairy's Wand

The Blue Fairy's Wand first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. It is a powerful wand wielded by the Blue Fairy and later by her counterpart, Mother Superior, who retains her magic powers after the curse is broken. The wand is exclusively good magic and has been used by the Blue Fairy for granting wishes of those who wish upon the blue star. In Storybrooke, it's been used for various things such as attempting to break down a barrier in Mr. Gold's pawnshop, reverting August to his child self Pinocchio, and healing severe wounds on Regina. ("The Queen Is Dead", "Selfless, Brave and True", "Second Star to the Right")

Book of Spells

The Book of Spells first appears in the second episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. Formerly a spell book belonging to a witch practitioner, Cora, and eventually is stolen by her daughter, Regina, to summon Rumplestiltskin, who teaches her a way to get rid of her mother for good. Regina receives the book back in Storybrooke from Mr. Gold and continues using it to cast spells. ("We Are Both")

Chipped Cup

The Chipped Cup first appears in the twelfth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A drinking cup owned by the Dark One, Rumplestiltskin. Subsequently, the cup is dropped and chipped by his servant, Belle. After he hears of her death from the Evil Queen, the chipped cup becomes his most treasured and only memento of Belle. ("Skin Deep")

Dark One's Dagger

The Dark One's Dagger first appears in the eighth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A mystical dagger that gives the person possessing it the power to control and command a powerful being called the Dark One. Seeking a way to protect his only son, Baelfire, from being forced to fight in the Ogre War, Rumplestiltskin steals the dagger from the Duke of the Frontlands' castle. After calling forth the Dark One with the dagger, the being taunts and goads Rumplestiltskin into killing him. The Dark One dies and passes on his cursed powers to Rumplestiltskin, and he becomes the new Dark One. Thus, within the Enchanted Forest, wielding it is the only known way to kill or control Rumplestiltskin. ("Desperate Souls", "The Return")

Dwarf Pick Axes

The Dwarf Pick Axes first appear in the ninth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A pick ax is assigned to mining dwarves after they are newly hatched and ready to work. Per ax, each is designated to give a name to a dwarf based on his individual personality. ("Dreamy")

Emma's Baby Blanket

Emma's Baby Blanket first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. When Snow White is still heavily pregnant, Granny hand knits a baby blanket for her unborn child, Emma. On the day the Dark Curse approaches, Snow White unexpectedly goes into labor and gives birth. Soon after, Emma is wrapped snugly in the blanket and carried by her father, Prince Charming, to be placed in the magic wardrobe to be protected from the effects of the curse. Emma arrives in the Land Without Magic, and grows up having the blanket as the only memento of her unknown past. ("Pilot")

Enchanted Bow

The Enchanted Bow first appears in the sixteenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A bow formerly owned by Robin Hood, who once dubbed the weapon that "always finds its target" once the arrow is fired, which is proven true when he used it on Rumplestiltskin. Later, Rumplestiltskin attempts to kill Robin Hood with his own bow, but changes his mind and allows the arrow to miss his intended target. Since then, Rumplestiltskin keeps the bow and one day lends it to Snow White when she wants to kill the Queen. ("Heart of Darkness", "Lacey")

Enchanted Bracelets

Enchanted Bracelets first appear in the sixth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. Originally two bracelets owned by Cora, who casts an enchantment on them, Hook later uses one on himself and the other on Emma so they can climb up a beanstalk in the Enchanted Forest and retrieve the enchanted compass. Retaining one of the bracelets after a journey to Storybrooke, Hook gives it to Greg and Tamara. The pair make the bracelet into a magic-absorbing device, so whoever wears it will lose all his or her magic. Regina is tricked by Hook into wearing it; causing her to be rendered powerless when kidnapped by Greg and Tamara. Through some method, Mr. Gold gains the bracelet and tries to take away Pan's magic, but it has no effect on him. ("Tallahassee", "The Evil Queen", "Going Home")

Enchanted Candle

The Enchanted Candle first appears in the fifteenth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. Cora, disguised as the Blue Fairy, procures a candle filled with dark magic, for a young Snow White who wishes to save her dying mother's life. Despite being given the chance to use the candle to exchange another person's life to keep her mother alive, Snow White ultimately does not go through with the deed. Later on, Mary Margaret is given the choice once more to use the candle to kill Cora, which she does, though later she deeply regrets her actions. ("The Queen Is Dead")

Enchanted Cloak

The Enchanted Cloak first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. The cloak is made by a wizard and given to Granny, who knows her granddaughter, Red Riding Hood, has also inherited the shape shifting gene and the ability to turn into a werewolf. To stop Red Riding Hood from transforming into a wolf during the full moon, Granny orders her to wear the cloak at all times. However, she is unable to hide the truth from Red forever. During one full moon, Red Riding Hood is without her cloak. She transforms into a wolf and mauls her boyfriend, Peter, to death. ("Red-Handed")

Enchanted Compass

The Enchanted Compass first appears in the sixth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. It is one of the many various treasures kept by the giant on top of a beanstalk. On a climbing expedition with Hook, Emma retrieves the compass and later uses it to help herself and Mary Margaret return home to Storybrooke from the Enchanted Forest. ("Tallahassee")

Enchanted Hearts

Main article: Enchanted Hearts

Enchanted Hearts first appear in the seventh episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. They are produced via a magic practitioner pulling someone's heart out directly from his or her chest. The heart becomes enchanted and has special properties that make it stronger and more durable than a regular non-enchanted heart. A person in possession of someone's enchanted heart can assume control and manipulate the victim's actions by speaking into the heart. The victim may continue living without his or her heart, but on some level stops experiencing and feeling true genuine feelings such as love. If the heart is crushed to dust, the victim dies a true death. ("The Stable Boy", "The Doctor", "The Miller's Daughter")

Fairy Dust

Fairy Dust first appears in the fourteenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Produced by dwarves by mining and grinding diamonds into fairy dust, the substance is often collected by fairies. Fairy dust is considered valuable, and its powers vary depending on what kind it is. Bad fairy dust can turn an enemy into something harmless while good fairy dust is known to have healing powers and can freeze beings of dark magic. ("Snow Falls", "The Price of Gold", "Dreamy", "The Cricket Game")

Fairy Godmother's Wand

The Fairy Godmother's Wand first appears in the fourth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Originally owned by Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, Rumplestiltskin comes to own the wand after killing her. Following a deal with Cinderella, he uses the wand to transform her rags into a gown so she can go to the royal ball. The wand remains in his possession and is later used in Storybrooke by Mr. Gold when stealing fairy dust from the mines. Later, Gold has a nightmare where he uses the wand to turn his grandson into a statue. ("The Price of Gold", "Queen of Hearts", "Lacey")

Ground Poppy Dust

Ground Poppy Dust first appears in sixth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. A special dust obtained by a red poppy flower by grinding it down, and has the ability to make someone fall into a deep sleep. Due to Mary Margaret's previous time under the Sleeping Curse, she requests to be put to sleep via the poppy dust to breach the Netherworld. ("Tallahassee")

Jack's Sword

Jack's Sword first appears in the sixth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. A weapon owned and used by Jack during the ambush of the giants' beanstalk. The sword's most distinguishing feature is an inscription of Jack's name on the side of the blade. Laced in poison, Jack wielded the weapon to attack and kill numerous giants, including Arlo, and then met her own demise after being stabbed by her own sword. She dies with the weapon in hand, and many years later, Emma stumbles upon the corpse. Later, she grabs the sword to threaten the remaining giant, Anton, with it. ("Tallahassee", "Tiny")

Jefferson's Hat

Main article: Jefferson's Hat

Jefferson Hat first appears in the seventeenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A hat owned by Jefferson, who can cross dimensions to other lands by opening portals inside it. Via the hat, Jefferson traveled to bring Dr. Frankenstein from the Land Without Color to the Enchanted Forest so the doctor could make a deal with Rumplestiltskin. Eventually, he retires from his profession as portal-jumper and settles down as a mushroom seller with his daughter, Grace. He makes mention to the Queen he stopped portal-jumping because that's how Grace lost her mother and doesn't want her to lose him, too. The Queen asks for his assistance to travel to another land where she wants to steal something back which the Queen of Hearts took from her. The rule of the hat is the amount of people who go into it must also be the same amount that come out. In fact, the thing the Queen takes back from the Queen of Hearts is not an item, but a person—her father. Per the rule of the hat, only two who go in can leave. She traps Jefferson in the world while her father and herself leave to return home. ("Hat Trick", "The Doctor")

Killian Jones' Hook

Killian Jones' Hook first appears in fourth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. When Rumplestiltskin chops off Killian Jones' hand, he replaces the lost hand with a sharp hook. Killian Jones' notoriety of having a hooked hand earns him the nickname "Hook". He finds a way to travel to Storybrooke and get revenge on Rumplestiltskin, now known as Mr. Gold. After Hook is being hospitalized for severely fractured ribs, his hook is taken away and kept in the sheriff's office, but he eventually steals it back. Using a type of poison, he smears it on his hook and tracks down Mr. Gold in New York where he stabs the man. ("The Crocodile", "Manhattan")

Looking Glasses

Looking Glasses first appear in the seventeenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. An object that appears to be a regular rectangular length mirror, but in actuality is a portal. When someone enters through a looking glass, he or she will be transported to another world. Regina pushed her mother, Cora, into a looking glass and sent her to Wonderland. ("We Are Both")

Magic Beans

Magic Beans first appear in the nineteenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Grown by giants, they used to trade magic beans with humans, but this stopped due to humans using them to travel to and conquer other lands. After some time, giants began to grow beans again without the knowledge of humans. An overwhelming slaughter of giants at the hands of a human army forces the last living giant, Anton, to destroy all the ripe beans to keep them from being stolen and used for humans' selfish purposes. He is given the last bean stalk plant by his brother, Arlo, to replant someday. ("Tiny")

Magic Globe

The Magic Globe first appears in the thirteenth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. It is given to Mr. Gold by Cora with the ability to find his son. By pricking his own finger and letting a drop of blood fall onto the globe, it locates and pinpoints the exact location of where his son currently is. The globe is used again to find Henry after he is taken to another world by Greg and Tamara. ("Tiny", "And Straight On 'Til Morning")

Magic Ribbons

The Magic Ribbons first appear in the seventh episode of the fourth season of Once Upon a Time. Originally ribbons from a kite, they later are claimed by Ingrid, Helga and Gerda as they make a sisterhood pact. Both Helga and Gerda promise to protect Ingrid so no one finds out about her ice powers. Years later, the three sisters sacrifice their ribbons to Rumplestiltskin, who provides Ingrid with magic cancelling gloves as well as urn to contain her if her powers become uncontrollable. Magic Totem

The Magic Totem first appears in the Once Upon a Time graphic novel, Shadow of the Queen. Found at Lake Onondaga, the totem can transform someone into an animal, but a person can only wield the mystical item once. Up against werewolves that are hunting Snow White, the Huntsman wishes to use it on the pack and render them normal wolves. As Snow White distracts the werewolves, he grabs the totem. However, when she and Red Riding Hood fall into the lake once the ice cracks, the Huntsman jumps in after them. Underwater, all three gain aquatic fins, but when the effect wears off, they return to the surface. ("Shadow of the Queen")

Magic Wardrobe

The Magic Wardrobe first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Carved from the last enchanted tree by Geppetto and Pinocchio, it served its purpose as a gateway between the Enchanted Forest and a land without magic. The wardrobe is created to save two people from the Evil Queen's curse on the inhabitants of the Enchanted Forest. Due to a deal the Blue Fairy and Geppetto make, she allows Pinocchio to be one of the people to go through the wardrobe, and lies to the war council that the wardrobe can only protect one person from the curse. Snow White's unborn child, Emma, is prophesied to be the savior of the curse, and so it is decided Snow White must be the one to go through the wardrobe. However, she goes into labor earlier than expected and the infant Emma is rushed into the wardrobe just before the curse engulfs the whole Enchanted Forest. ("Pilot")

Maleficent's Staff

Maleficent's Staff first appears in the second episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. The witch Maleficent wields the staff against her enemies, and she uses it to generate magic blasts. In later years, after the Queen trades the curse orb to her, Maleficent stores the crystal ball on her staff. ("The Thing You Love Most", "Darkness on the Edge of Town")

Memory Potions

Memory Potions first appear in the tenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A potion capable of erasing a user's memories.

Mulan's Sword

Main article: Mulan's Sword

Mulan's Sword first appears in the first episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. A sword wielded by Mulan. As stated by her, it is the most powerful blade in all the realms. When Emma decides to climb up the beanstalk with Hook to retrieve the enchanted compass needed so she and Mary Margaret can return home to Storybrooke, she asks Mulan for a favor. Emma wants Mulan to cut down the beanstalk with her sword if she does not return at a certain time. Mulan agrees and later attempts to chop it down when she does not return at the designated time, but is stopped by Mary Margaret just as Emma jumps down from the beanstalk. The sword is used to repel magic when Mulan blocks Cora's fire attack. ("Tallahassee", "Queen of Hearts")

Night Root

Night Root first appears in the fourteenth episode of the third season of Once Upon a Time. A plant found at the edge of Sherwood Forest with rumored properties for removing a person's fears once it is ingested. In actuality, whoever consumes the plant will cause his or her fears to physically manifest as a doppelganger of his or herself. Rapunzel and Prince Charming have both ingested night root to be rid of their worries, and in both instances, they had to face their doppelgangers to be free of fear. ("The Tower")

Poisoned Apple

The Poisoned Apple first appears in the ninth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Originally owned by a blind witch, the Evil Queen asks for the help of two children, Hansel and Gretel to obtain the apple for her. Later, she gives Snow White the choice to eat the apple and remain asleep forever under the sleeping curse so her prince will remain unharmed as her prisoner. ("True North", "An Apple Red as Blood")

Prince Charming's Cloak

Prince Charming's Cloak first appears in the sixteenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A cloak worn by Prince Charming, and later bargains it away to Rumplestiltskin to find out the whereabouts of a vengeful Snow White who wants to kill the Queen. Though Prince Charming questions why he wants the cloak, Rumplestiltskin answers it's because his castle is drafty. The real reason Rumplestiltskin needed it was to gather one of Prince Charming's hairs from the cloak to combine with Snow White's hair strand and make a true love potion. ("Heart of Darkness")

Prince Charming's Swords

Prince Charming's Swords first appear in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Various blades owned and used by Prince Charming to fight his foes. After the Dark Curse is cast, one of the swords come into Mr. Gold's possession in his pawnshop. On a mission to save Henry after he ingested a poisoned apple turnover, Emma consults Mr. Gold, who presents her with Prince Charming's sword. With it, she must defeat a beast and retrieve a potion for restoring Henry's health. At first, Emma is reluctant to rely on the sword, but she eventually uses it to defeat the beast. Regina's Apple Tree

Regina's Apple Tree first appears in the second episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. An apple tree Regina has had since her time in the Enchanted Forest as the Queen. The health and ripeness of the growing apples depend on the power of the curse. When the curse begins waning because of Emma's prolonged presence in town, Regina schemes for a way to get rid of her. Regina's Engagement Ring

Regina's Engagement Ring first appears in the eighteenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A precious ring owned by Regina as an old keepsake in remembrance of her true love, Daniel. He proposed to her with the ring, but they were separated by his untimely death. Regina sacrifices it so the magic within the ring will be enough to power the hat so she can retrieve the poisoned apple from the Enchanted Forest. ("The Stable Boy", "An Apple Red as Blood")

Shepherd Crook

The Shepherd Crook first appears in the second episode of the fourth season of Once Upon a Time. A magic weapon owned by the warlord, Bo Peep, who uses it to brand her victims so she will always know where they are. When David and Ruth cannot pay monetary demands, she brands them with the crook and threatens, if the money is not pooled together by tomorrow, they will become her slaves forever. With Anna's help, David learns to sword-fight and eventually defeats Bo Peep herself in a duel. He then uses the shepherd crook to track down and rescue Anna, who was previously imprisoned by Bo Peep. During the second curse, David finds Bo Peep again and steals her shepherd crook in order to help Elsa find a missing Anna. ("White Out")

Skeleton Keys

The Skeleton Keys first appear in the thirteenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Various keys possessed by mayor Regina that open every door in Storybrooke. Regina has used the keys more than once to meddle in the lives of the town residents; such as stealing Kathryn's supportive letter to David or planting incriminating evidence against Mary Margaret in her Loft to pin her as the suspect in Kathryn's disappearance. ("What Happened to Frederick", "The Stable Boy")

Snow White's Coffin

Snow White's Coffin first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A coffin built by the dwarves for Snow White to be placed in after her "death" at the Evil Queen's hands. They set the coffin in the woods and are paying their respects when Prince Charming rides up to say goodbye. They take off the coffin cover to allow him to do so. Prince Charming gives Snow White one last kiss, which turns into true love's kiss and breaks the sleeping curse she is under. After the casting of the curse, Regina places the coffin in a cave under the clock tower and keeps a trigger hidden inside it. Because the trigger can be used to erase the town of Storybrooke and its inhabitants, Regina does not want it falling into the wrong hands and has a great beast guard the cave from intruders. Wishing to destroy the town inhabitants by setting off the trigger, she and Hook journey there to retrieve it. Once they arrive at the location, Regina deliberately pushes him into the pit, where he faces Maleficent, while she goes to collect the trigger from the coffin. ("Pilot", "The Evil Queen")

Sorcerer's Hat

The Sorcerer's Hat first appears in the first episode of the fourth season of Once Upon a Time. The hat, created by the sorcerer, can retain large quantities of magic. In its unused state, the hat appears as a circular box. As such, it is so powerful that for each person who has taken on the Dark One's powers, they try to possess the hat as a means to store their magic within it. If the Dark One succeeds in doing so, he can be free of the dagger's will. As a safeguard, the sorcerer made it so only someone who has not given into inner darkness can possess the hat. One of the ingredients needed to perform the spell to free oneself from the dagger is the heart of a person who knew the Dark One prior to his ascension to power. Secondly, the sorcerer's hat must contain a full capacity of magic, in which for every magical being absorbed into it, a star will appear on the hat. When the stars on the hat align with the stars in the sky, the spell can be enacted, and sacrificed heart must be crushed to complete it. Sorcerer's Scroll

The 'Sorcerer's Scroll first appears in the sixth episode of the fourth season of Once Upon a Time. When Ingrid asks the apprentice to help her find a magical sister to complete her family, she promises to return the sorcerer's hat in return. Eventually, the sorcerer agrees to the deal and sends his apprentice to give Ingrid a scroll that will lead her to the sister. Through a portal door, Ingrid arrives to the Land Without Magic in the year 1982, and from consulting the scroll, she learns the sister's name will be Emma Swan. In 2001, she travels to Maine and uses the scroll to unveil the hidden town of Storybrooke, where Emma is destined to arrive in. After Ingrid's death, Emma and Regina give the scroll to Cruella De Vil and Ursula so they can enter Storybrooke. ("Smash the Mirror", "Shattered Sight", "Darkness on the Edge of Town")

Green Peridot Ring

Green Peridot Ring first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A wedding ring owned by a farmer, Ruth. She gives the ring to her son, David, as a parting farewell gift and asks him to give it to the woman he marries. The ring is stolen by a thief, Snow White, who in turn is forced to help him retrieve it back. The two fall in love and eventually fight to be together despite opposition and obstacles in the form of King George and the Queen. For a brief period, the ring is enchanted by Rumplestiltskin so the closer Prince Charming is to Snow White's presence, the brighter the ring's stone will shine. Snow White wears the ring after Prince Charming proposes to her. They later cross paths with a severely injured Ruth and try to find means to cure her. Ruth's last wish is to see her son marry and tells Snow White of a myth passed down about the ring's powers to predict the gender of a woman's first born child. Snow White believes she is destined to never have children as King George poisoned and made her barren. However, she is healed by drinking water from Lake Nostos. Prince Charming tries out the ring's power on her and it predicts her first born child will be a girl. ("The Shepherd", "Snow Falls", "A Land Without Magic", "Lady of the Lake")

Medallion

The Medallion first appears in the first episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. A cursed object owned by Mr. Gold. Whoever touches the medallion with skin contact is branded as prey for a deadly creature called the Wraith. The Wraith hunts its prey and will never stop chasing until it sucks out the person's soul. As an act of vengeance, Mr. Gold forces Regina to touch the medallion and then commands the Wraith to kill her. Emma, Mary Margaret and David get an idea from Regina to use a hat to bring the Wraith to another realm where it can't harm anyone else. Unfortunately, Emma is also taken into the hat and Mary Margaret makes haste to follow. The hat brings all three of them to the Enchanted Forest. The Wraith wreaks havoc when Prince Phillip accidentally picks up the medallion and becomes its next target. He willingly allows his soul to be taken and dies. ("Broken")

The Tiara

The Tiara first appears in the fifteenth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. A royal tiara passed down from mother to daughter in Queen Eva. Eva was given the tiara by her own mother and gifts her daughter, Snow White, with it on the day of her coming of age birthday celebration. However, when she sees Snow White is haughty towards their castle servant, Johanna, she carefully explains the right way to treat someone even if the person is not of the same rank as everyone deserves their love and respect. Though Snow White is quick to answer the ball is to celebrate her birthday, Queen Eva points out it is not to glorify her status as a royal princess, but to prove herself to their kingdom's people she can one day be a kind and benevolent ruler, which is also what the tiara symbolizes once passed down from queen to princess. After Queen Eva passes away of a mysterious but deadly illness, Snow White braves the mourning ceremony wearing the tiara and shows outer strength in a time of hardship. Following the casting of the Dark Curse, the tiara ends up in the possession of Mr. Gold in his pawnshop. When the curse is broken, Johanna buys the tiara from the shop and sends it to Mary Margaret as a birthday present. Mary Margaret is in tears over the tiara as it is a precious reminder of her mother. ("The Queen Is Dead")

True Love Potion

The True Love Potion first appears in the twenty-second episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A powerful potion made by Rumplestiltskin by combining the hair strands of Snow White and Prince Charming. In a deal, he asks Prince Charming to hide the potion inside the body of a beast. During the curse, Mr. Gold sends Emma to retrieve the potion from the same beast. Though she needs the potion to save Henry, Mr. Gold tricks her into handing it to him, to which he uses it to bring magic to Storybrooke. ("A Land Without Magic")

Wishing Star

The Wishing Star first appears in the first episode of the fourth season of Once Upon a Time. The wishing star is a necklace that, as its name implies, can grant a user's wish. Hoping to rid their daughter Elsa's ice powers, Gerda and husband seek out a pirate, Blackbeard, who sells them the wishing star. Nonetheless, the couple are unable to harness the necklace since it requires the user to be pure of heart. Gerda then keeps the pendant as a personal item, and following her death years later, Elsa gifts the necklace to Anna for her wedding day. At some point, the necklace ends up in pawnshop. After Elsa frees herself from the urn, she wanders into the pawnshop and finds the pendant. In search of Anna, she uses a locator spell on it, which leads her to a beach under a mine passage. When the pendant stops shining, Elsa believes her sister is dead, however, in a last ditch attempt at hope, she unintentionally wishes for Anna's presence. Hearing her wish, the necklace brings Anna and Kristoff to her through a portal. ("A Tale of Two Sisters", "Fall")

Archie's Lucky Umbrella

Archie's Lucky Umbrella first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. He carries this umbrella with him nearly everywhere, including into the mines to search for Henry, who went in to find proof of the curse. The umbrella subsequently saves Archie's life when the handle coincidentally clings to Emma's harness; saving him from nearly falling to his death inside the mine shaft. ("That Still Small Voice")

Eric's Cloak

Eric's Cloak first appears in the seventeenth episode of the third season. It is red and has a golden medal Ursula ornament. Devising a scheme to take down the savior, Zelena disguises herself as Ariel, a mermaid who once had Hook's aid in finding the man she loves, Prince Eric, only for him to selfishly choose to reclaim his ship over helping her. As Ariel, she tricks Hook into believing since the second curse, Eric hasn't returned and asks for his help locating him. They track down Eric's cloak at the pawnshop and Belle pours a potion with a locator spell on it. This causes the cloak to float around town; leading them straight to the harbor, which then sinks into the water. ("The Jolly Roger")

Swan Keychain

The Swan Keychain first appears in the first episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A key chain stolen by Neal for his girlfriend, Emma. After he allows her to take the fall for stealing watches and she is sent to prison, he asks August to send the keychain, car keys and money to Emma. In jail, Emma receives the key chain and car keys. She wears the key chain as a necklace to remind herself never to trust anyone ever again. More than a year later, while Neal is dying, he returns the key chain to Emma; asking her to find happiness with someone else other than him. ("Tallahassee", "Manhattan", "Quiet Minds")

Yellow Bug

This car originates from Portland, where Emma attempted to steal it, only to discover a stranger, Neal, sleeping in the backseat. After he helps her evade suspicion from a police officer, Neal reveals he was trying to steal the car, too, before she arrived. Once Emma is sent to jail, Neal returns the car keys to August and asks him to give them to her so she can keep the vehicle. Sometime after being released from prison, Emma reclaims the car and has been using it ever since. ("Tallahassee", "Pilot")

Dreamshade

Dreamshade first appears in the fifteenth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. As a native poison of Neverland, it is typically found as an oozing substance in thorns. During the period of Captain Hook's stay in Neverland, he gathers some dreamshade in a condensed form; later taking it with him back to the Enchanted Forest, and then onto Storybrooke. In his plans to destroy the Dark One, known as Mr. Gold in Storybrooke, Hook sails to New York on a ship, tracks his nemesis down and stabs him with a hook laced in dreamshade. The poison proves to be deadly, but, Mr. Gold makes a full recovery with Mary Margaret's help in using magic to take away the life of another while saving him. ("The Queen Is Dead", "Quite a Common Fairy")

Squid Ink

Squid Ink first appears in the fourth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. Ink extracted from a bottomless sea from a rare kind of squid. Cinderella, desperate to change her life, makes a deal with Rumplestiltskin, but cannot fulfill the payment she owes as he wants her first born child. Combining the ink with a magic red quill, she tricks him into using the item to sign a new fake contract. The ink immobilizes him and he is hauled off to a jail cell to keep from taking away Cinderella's child. Secretly, Rumplestiltskin takes with him a jar of squid ink to keep while he is imprisoned. After receiving the name of Snow White and Prince Charming's unborn child and savior-to-be of the curse, Emma, he fervently writes down the name on a parchment to remember it one day. The ink also contains magic as demonstrated when Mary Margaret and Emma became trapped in Rumplestiltskin's old cell. The Invisible Chalk first appears in the sixteenth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. Book of Records

The Book of Records first appears in the twentieth episode of the third season of Once Upon a Time. Possessed by the Witch of the South, Glinda, the book foretells of a powerful sorceress who will arrive to Oz by cyclone to join the sisterhood of witches and assume her place as the Witch of the West. The other half of the prophecy also speaks of this witch unseating "the greatest evil the realm has ever seen", which the supposed Witch of the West, Zelena, accidentally uncovers after a young girl named Dorothy arrives to Oz by cyclone. Fearing her place in the sisterhood will be usurped by Dorothy, Zelena fakes her own death and masquerades as the Wizard to lead the girl out of Oz permanently. ("Kansas")

These shoes are possessed by the Wizard of Oz, which he later gifts to Zelena so she can travel to her birth world to find her real family. Once there, Zelena meets a magic instructor, Rumplestiltskin, and competes for his attention, but finds herself continuously jealous of his other pupil as well as her half-sister, Regina. She is rejected from being chosen as the magic caster of his curse, which he intends to use to transport himself to a land without magic. Zelena reveals her slippers are capable of such a feat, but doesn't help him since he already chose Regina over her. Instead, she uses the slippers to return to Oz. Later on, Zelena plots to get rid of a girl named Dorothy by masquerading as the Wizard of Oz and gives her the slippers to return home. ("It's Not Easy Being Green", "Kansas")

In an attempt to drive away town visitor Emma Swan, Sidney digs up dirt from her past and publishes it in the newspaper to tarnish her reputation, but it does not stop her from staying in Storybrooke. Trigger

The Trigger first appears in the twentieth episode of the second season of Once Upon a Time. Along with the casting of the Dark Curse, the town of Storybrooke, Maine was created and a built in "fail-safe" is hidden in case Regina ever wanted to erase the effects of the curse completely. By doing so, it would also phase out of existence everyone in town. The trigger is guarded in a cave by a dragon to keep intruders from accidentally finding it. After the dragon is killed by Emma, the magic in the cave keeps it from staying dead due to being the guardian that must always keep the trigger safe. Regina forces Hook to be bait for the undead creature while she obtains the trigger. She is betrayed when Hook reveals he has teamed up with magic hunters Greg and Tamara. After they kidnap her, the trigger falls into Tamara's hands. She sends the trigger back to their "home office" to be analyzed and makes the shocking discovery activating the trigger will give them what they always wanted—the destruction of magic. The trigger is activated by Greg and Tamara and later with the combined powers of Regina and Emma, they are able to permanently stop and reverse the effects. Birdbark Tree

The Birdbark Tree first appears in the seventh episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. It is a tree made of branches that make bird-like calls and sounds. When parts of the tree are broken off into smaller pieces, they are buoyant. While Alice and Knave are on their way to rescue Cyrus, they make a basket out of birdbark trees in order to reach Jafar's floating tower. This plan is later abandoned after Alice discovers the man claiming to be her father is not actually him. ("Bad Blood")

Forget Me Knot

The Forget Me Knot first appears in the third episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. A mystical item, which when placed in any specific location, shows the viewer the last event that took place in the area. The forget me knot has had many previous owners, the Caterpillar, and then the Red Queen, who had the item stolen by Grendel. To find out who dug up Cyrus' bottle, Alice and Knave track down Grendel, but fall into a trap and are captured by him as his next meal. They learn Grendel has been using the forget me knot to relive a last memory of his late wife. After much reluctance to let go of the past, Grendel parts with the item and gives it to them. In a pasture, Alice and Knave use the forget me knot to see the memory of their unsuspecting culprit, the White Rabbit, dig up the bottle and hand it over to the Red Queen. Afterwards, Alice is eager to return the knot back to the original owner, the Caterpillar, but Knave resists because giving a stolen item to the Caterpillar will make him a thief. Yet, if the knot is used for Alice's benefit, it will reflect better on himself. Deciding neither option is worthy enough, Knave burns the forget me knot. ("Forget Me Not")

Magic Mushrooms

Magic Mushrooms first appears in the seventeenth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time. A growth mushroom found in another land that can increase or decrease the size of the person who eats it. After the Queen steals her father back from this world, she picks a piece of the mushroom and lets him eat it so he can grow back to normal size. In the same land, a woman named Jack once rescued people from a creature called the Jabberwocky and as thanks she received a magic mushroom. Later, she helps a giant shrink to human size by giving him the mushroom. During Alice's travels in Wonderland, she steals a piece of the mushroom from the Caterpillar and uses to shrink herself and evade the Queen's guards in the maze. ("Hat Trick", "Tiny")

Vorpal Blade

The Vorpal Blade first appears in the ninth episode of the first season of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Said to be made from very powerful magic in Wonderland, this blade is used to seal away an ancient and dangerous creature known as the Jabberwocky. Imprisoned for a hundred-years, she gains freedom when a sorcerer, Jafar, pulls out the embedded weapon.
